Get a peek inside one of our recent Genius Open Days - filled with entertainment, community activities and fun with our friendly educator team!
A few Genius centres recently opened their doors for a Community Open Day, and we were so thrilled to meet lots of new families, and touch base with some familiar faces.
If you haven’t been to one of our Open Days before, they are a fantastic opportunity to get to know your local centre better – especially if you’re looking for a top tier early education service for your child. They are also fantastic for existing Genius families to spend more time in centre, meeting their child’s educators and getting to know our facilities.
At Mont Albert we also used our Open Day as an opportunity to support other likeminded local businesses – through our market stalls, sporting stations and amazing children’s entertainers.
Let’s take a look at some of our favourite parts of the day!
Our educators were primed and ready to give tours to all enquiring families.
We had our local sporting partner Boroondora Eagles Football Club on hand to let some young soccer stars try their hand at training! Genius Mont Albert is an official sponsor of this community club, and we take great pride in supporting local wherever we can.
Little sporting heroes also kicked goals with their sport activities – including obstacle courses and basketball drills! LSH is an example of one of our third-party providers who bring a sporting incursion into our centres every week. Our centres have a range of activities and extra curricular activities available, some provided by an external business. Check with your local centre to see what might be available for you!
Fluro Faces Face Painting is not something that’s available every day at Genius, but was fantastic at keeping the children entertained while their parents explored the centre. Julian from Berghellas Magic was also available for balloon twisting requests!
We always try to have some children’s entertainment and activities available at our Open Days – it’s the perfect way to keep children engaged and happy so their parents can tour the centre at their leisure. Each of our rooms are also set up with an array of activity stations that are typically available at Genius day-to-day, so your child can explore what might become their room and experience some of the things they might be doing.
The other things we always provide at our open days are snacks…. Lots of snacks! At Mont-Albert, our chef Nina cooked up a feast so attendees could sample some of the menu available to children. There was also lots of fresh fruit and vegetables available so little tummies could be kept full while their parents visited.
Lastly, as another component of our community support program, we also had a range of local stallholders at Mont Albert’s Open Day. We love supporting local businesses, and it was great to see the range of innovative and creative children’s wares these vendors brought to the table! Shout out to Little Warrior Designs, Tayla May Creations, Alice and Patrick Boutique, We Are Squared and Handmade Jems!
All-in-all our Open Days are crafted so you can meet your local educator team, see the centre at its best and get a real feel for all that Genius has to offer.
