The Genius Framework

At Genius we strive to be the best. That is why we have built a unique framework that is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and influenced by universal concepts that inspire our children. The Genius Framework is built on three key pillars:

Framework Pillar

Genius Philosophy

Our philosophy is strongly based on sociocultural theory that building strong, authentic and respectful relationships with each child and their family is vital to truly understand and support their learning journey.

The Genius Philosophy looks to combine ideas and concepts from around the globe into one clear and concise framework that will ultimately yield the best results for your child.

Framework Pillar

Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

The Early Years Learning Framework looks to enrich children’s learning and ease their transition to school. The EYLF draws on conclusive international evidence that early childhood is a pivotal period in children’s learning and development. The Framework targets five key learning outcomes that are designed to capture the integrated and complex learning and development of all children.

  • Children have a strong sense of identity
  • Children are connected with and contribute to their world
  • Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
  • Children are confident and involved learners
  • Children are effective communicators

Genius Sports

Our Sports Program takes place over a calendar year and invites a child to indoor and outdoor expeditions that flourish their mind, body and spirit.

Through these partnerships we expose our children to a wealth of talent, resources and programs that develop their passion for teamwork, leadership and camaraderie.

Nutrition

At Genius, we believe that nutrition plays a vital role in looking after our children’s wellbeing, and that a strong sense of wellbeing is fundamentally connected to their sense of belonging, being and becoming. Our menus are created and assessed through Nutrition Australia, in line with National Quality Standards and the Australian Dietary Guidelines.

Each centre has their own in-house professional chef, who is adept at creating well balanced meals that cater to a range of tastes, allergies, intolerances and eating styles!

Xplor

Xplor is Genius’ management and parent communication portal, developed specifically for childcare services to enhance communication, service quality and parent experience. All of our important info is captured on Xplor – from enrolment, key centre contacts and check in/check out details through to live updates on your child’s activities each day. We do this so that you know your child is safe and happy during their time with us, with rigorous records kept and plenty of beautiful memories captured.

Genius at every stage.

Nursery

0-2 years

The first 1000 days of life – the time roughly between conception and a child’s second birthday – is a window of unique opportunity when an individual’s optimal health, growth and learning pathways are established.

At Genius we are honoured to guide your children through these key early years, and our focus is to help them develop their skills holistically. We provide children with a range of resources and experiences which give them the opportunity to become lifelong independent learners.

Toddler

2-3 years

At this age our key focus at Genius is on developing language and communication skills and introducing the children to self-care: starting to put on their own clothes, potty training, hand washing and self-feeding, along with many other life skills.

Our educators encourage children to exert their independence where they can, promote peer interaction and role model positive social interactions through all of our valuable routines and rituals.

Kinder

4-5 years

Between the ages of 4 and 5 children are becoming readers, writers, counters and collaborators. We continue to use the Early Years Learning Framework developmental milestones to provide structure to our activities and learning through play, whilst beginning to focus on the preparation for school and journey outside of the classroom.

Our ground-breaking Kindergarten Program is an engaging educational and wellness program that will guide your child to becoming an independent, resilient, and self-confident member of our ever-changing community.
